Qld: Three questioned over robbery
BRISBANE, Dec 30 AAP - Police are questioning three people over an armed holdup at
a Sunshine Coast service station this morning.
A Maroochydore police spokesman said a man walked in to the Bli Bli BP service station,
on the southern outskirts of the Sunshine Coast, about 4.45am (AEST) today and threatened
the attendant with a knife.
The attendant handed over an undisclosed sum of money and the man took some phone.
The man then left the service station in a Honda Civic sedan with another man and a woman.
Police found the car driving along Petrie Creek Road and pursued it towards Nambour.
When the police car was damaged in an accident on a slippery stretch of road, another
car was called and continued the pursuit to Sippy Downs, west of Buderim, where the three
people headed into bushland on foot.
Police sued tracker dogs to find the three people.
