Initial report on bus crash now in /Max's hands.(News)

THE provincial Department of Community Safety has received the preliminary report on the SA Roadlink bus accident in which seven people died and dozens more were injured outside Beaufort West on July 7.

But the findings are to remain confidential until the police have released those of their criminal investigation.

The bus swerved, overturned and rolled on the N1 six kilometres outside Beaufort West. SA Roadlink dismissed the possibility that the driver had fallen asleep. It said he had made way for a truck that had been tailgating his vehicle, but lost control of the bus on the gravel.
