PETER W. MOTYKA, 80.(CAPITAL REGION)

AMSTERDAM Peter W. Motyka, 80, of Division Street died Saturday in St. Mary's Hospital.

Mr. Motyka was born in Oswego, Oswego County. He moved to Amsterdam in 1934.

He was employed as a carpenter for many years by the Department of Public Works of the city of Amsterdam before retiring in 1976.

Mr. Motyka was a former member and past president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 1614 of Amsterdam and also served as vice president of Council 30 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
